Wine Tasting in the Land of the Etruscans - Terre di Marfisa

Terre di Marfisa is a family driven company located in Farnese, a little village in the land of the Etruscan. The name comes from nonna Marfisa, who transmitted to all the family her passion for this land.

Farnese is on top of a tufa hill which clearly demonstrates the volcanic soil of this area that gives a mineral taste to all the wines of the company. The wines take all Etruscan names, in fact in this area the wine has been cultivated since Etruscan times. The Etruscans loved wine and banquets as it is attested by the paintings of the Necropolis of Tarquinia, which belongs to the Unesco list of the World's Heritage sites.

The wine Athumi means in Etruscan nobilty since this wine is made by the worldwide famous winegrape Sangiovese mixed with Petit-Verdot. The Sangiovese grape is the base of all renowned Tuscan wines such as Brunello, Montepulciano, Chianti, Montefalco and Morellino di Scansano.

The company produces also extra virgin olive oil Canino DOP, one of the most famous extra virgin olive oil in Italy. Book your Wine Tasting and Olive oil Tasting in English, German, Swedish, Norwegian and Spanish with us.
