Villa Adriana

Villa Adriana was designed and built by the emperor Hadrian. Hadrian built also the Hadrian's wall in England, the Mausoleum of Hadrian and the Temple of Venus and Goddess Rome. He was the only person in history who dedicated a temple to his mother in law and to his beloved Antinoo. To him he also dedicated an obelisk which is now visible on the Pincio hill. 

Villa Adriana belongs to the Unesco list and is one of the most important archeological Areas in Rome and in the world. 

The Villa Adriana in Tivoli have rests of the huge buildings reminding the palaces of the Roman Empire such as Canopo, Serapeum, Accademia and Percile.
